NOW EVERY DAY IS TACO TUESDAY AT THE MULE

HAMILTON, Oct. 1, 2017 – Stay warm all winter with a taste of Mexico in your own home! Hamilton’s popular taco, tequila, and bourbon bar, The Mule, is releasing a line of at-home taco kits to encourage families to get back into the kitchen. The youngest “chick” in the Other Bird family of restaurants, The Mule is eager to expand its business with these simple family-friendly recipes, cheekily called “Taco in a Box-o.”

“It just seemed like the natural next step,” says executive chef Matt Kershaw. “We love having people in our restaurants, but we wanted to share how much fun it is to put together these great meals! We spend a lot of time rushing around and eating just to survive, and that’s not right. These boxes encourage people to get creative and fall in love with food again.”

The “Taco in a Box-o” kits include essential herbs and spices, corn tortillas, and all-ages drink pairing suggestions, along with detailed instructions written by Kershaw himself. This line has been in development since The Mule opened its doors two years ago.

The Other Bird is a Hamilton-based restaurant company with seven unique locations throughout the city and surrounding area. Chopped Canada winner chef Matt Kershaw and his team of award-winning chefs are dedicated to pushing people out of their comfort zones with every bite, and truly live by the credo “don’t look back on life thinking, ‘I could have eaten that.'”
